Grants for US Students
Fulbright stipends are available for students to carry out Master or Ph.D. degree level studies or research in Norway. Students who have already begun their studies at a Norwegian university in Norway are not eligible. Stipends for the traditional Graduate Students Program are available in all disciplines and can be used at any accredited Norwegian university. Stipends are only available for students planning a minimum of one academic year study in Norway.
The English Teaching Assistants Program aims to strengthen English language instruction and knowledge about the United States in Norwegian high schools. Up to three (3) Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) awards are offered. While the assistantship is open to all fields of study, preference will be given to applicants in the social sciences, humanities, English language and American studies. Preference will be given to candidates who plan teaching careers in either English or Norwegian.
