Four candidates were selected for the 2007 Summer Institutes for European Student Leaders (SIESL): Maren Skarra (Drammen) and Farooq Ansari (Oslo) will be participating in the program hosted by Drexel University in Philadelphia, while Christoffer Kjelsberg (Oslo) and Elle Sara (Kautokeino) will be participating in the University of Nebraska - Omaha program.

The summer institutes are five week long programs. Together with American students and fellow participants from Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom, the four Norwegian students will learn about leadership development and civic engagement through academic coursework and participatory activities. 2007 is the first year that Norway sends participants to this program.
