Torske Klubben Fellowships

Torske Klubben Fellowships are available to Norwegian citizens and Minnesota residents for graduate study in the University of Minnesota Graduate School. Prospective students or currently-enrolled students are eligible.

For Norwegian Citizens

Torske Klubben Fellowships are available to Norwegian citizens for graduate study in the University of Minnesota Graduate School.  Prospective students or currently-enrolled students are eligible.  The Fellowship is worth approximatly $30,000 for the academic year (academic year stipend of $13,000, plus a full non-resident tuition scholarship provided by the Graduate School).  Deadline: March 1 (if deadline falls on a weekend, then the following Monday.)

Prospective applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Minnesota Graduate School to be considered for the Fellowship. Admission decisions are made by the faculty in the major program.  Thus, applicants should first contact the major program via its web site for complete information on admission requirements.  Here is a list of Twin Cities Campus Graduate Programs.

For Minnesota Residents

This fellowship award has been established to support outstanding graduate students (master's or Ph.D.) currently enrolled in any field in the University of Minnesota Graduate School. Applicants must have outstanding academic achievement, excellent leadership potential, and an interest in or connection with Norway. Must be official state of Minnesota residents. The stipend is $13,000 for the academic year, plus full tuition. Sponsored by the Torske Klubben of Minneapolis.  Deadline: March 1 (if deadline falls on a weekend, then the following Monday.)
