Lakselaget Offers Scholarships to Minnesota and Norwegian WomenMinnesota-based Lakselaget will be offering scholarships for the sixth time in its seven-year existence. The application deadline
is March 15, 2009. Lakselaget offers scholarships to women who are Norwegian students wishing to study in Minnesota or at
the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, or Minnesota women desiring to study in Norway. It is also wil provide grants
to Minnesota professional women who have the opportunity to intern in Norway and, of course, to Norwegian women interning
in Minnesota.
NORTANA Travel GrantDeadline: March 1. Recipients must study or do research in Norway and be a US citizen or resident. Grants range from USD 750
to 1,500.
Wisconsin Alumni Association Scholarship and Apeland Viking Scholarship. Application deadline: February 8th, 2008For over 50 years, the Brittingham Viking Organization (BVO) has provided Norwegian students with unique scholarships for
studies at the highly regarded University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW), USA. This year two Norwegian students will be awarded scholarships for studying one summer semester at UW. The Apeland Viking Scholarship is for students who will study communication and public relations, while the Wisconsin Alumni Association Scholarship is open for students in any academic field. Both will allow one student to take 6-9 credits at the UW during the summer semester of 2008. Torske Klubben FellowshipsTorske Klubben Fellowships are available to Norwegian citizens and Minnesota residents for graduate study in the University
of Minnesota Graduate School. Prospective students or currently-enrolled students are eligible.
Scholarships for Fulbright AlumniFulbright Alumni are given preferential consideration for Monterey Institute Scholarships, which are competitive and merit-based
for students interested in professional, international careers.
