Roving Scholars Available to Visit Your SchoolThe Fulbright Roving Scholar Program brings American teachers to Norway who travel all over the country giving presentations
for teachers and students in lower and upper secondary schools free of charge. These presentations address a variety of topics
including the U.S. government, immigration, specific teaching strategies, and the American teenage experience. Three Roving
Scholars are available to visit your school during the 2009-2010 school year.
Roving Scholar Program ExpandsThanks to generous support from the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research, three Roving Scholars will be available
to visit your school during the 2009-2010 school year.
Fulbright Roving ScholarsOrdningen med ”Fulbright Roving Scholars” er et samarbeidsprosjekt mellom Fulbrightkontoret og Kunnskapsdepartementet. Ordningen
ble startet i 1987. "Roverne" bor i Oslo, men på invitasjon reiser de til ungdoms- eller videregående skoler over hele landet
for å holde seminar for elever og lærere. Inkluderer en liste over alle Roving Scholars siden 1987.
“But Why Norway?”When I arrive at a new school each morning and report to the lærerom for morning coffee with teachers I am usually asked,
“Are you a student? Or are you a teacher?” I tell them I hope to always be both and then I introduce them to the Fulbright
Roving Scholars Program. By Abbey Schneider, 2007-08 Fulbright Roving Scholar for the Lower Secondary Schools.
