A Fulbright Arctic Chair Award is available for researchers (scholars)/lecturers in the academic fields of Arctic Geology, Arctic Biology, Arctic Geophysics and Arctic Technology for the 2010-11 academic year.

Fulbright International Science and Technology Stipend: For studenter som vil ta en PhD i USA innen fagfeltene naturvitenskap, teknologi og ingeniørfag, finnes det nå et prestisjefylt stipend tilgjengelig. Stipendet vil bli gitt til 40 studenter fra hele verden, og dekker alle kostnader for en hel PhD grad ved et amerikansk universitet. Neste søknadsfrist: 15. april 2009.

I anledning det Internasjonale Polaråret 2008-2009, bevilger Fulbright Foundation et stipend på NOK 50.000-100.000 til forskningsarbeid innen fagområdene: Miljøfag, Klimaendringer, Energiforskning. Stipendinnehaveren skal bidra til å rette fokus mot vidreutvikling av norsk-amerikansk forskningssamarbeid i nordområdene/ de arktiske områder, med særlig vekt på klimaendringer og utfordringene disse byr på.

The Fulbright New Century Scholars Program (NCS) brings together annually 30 outstanding research scholars and professionals from the United States and around the world. In its 5th year, NCS will continue to address critical issues in higher education around the globe, and will focus on “Higher Education in the 21st Century: Access and Equity.”
