Hjelp til søknad til universitet i USA?

The Writing Center at St. John's University in Queens, New York provides a place where all students are welcome to discuss their writing with trained writing consultants.  Students work with consultants on such issues as the writing process, organization, argumentation, grammar, syntax, rhetorical style, plagiarism, and appropriate citation methods both in person and through the center's online consultation service.  In the spirit of intercultural exchange and the university's commitment to volunteerism, this free online service is now being extended to Norwegian students applying to American universities.

Through the program interested students will be able to submit their personal statements online for consultation. Students will receive a response from the staff approximately 3-5 days after the request is submitted. In addition to uploading outlines and drafts, the request e-mail should include the student's name, location, e-mail address, a description of the assignment and deadline information. Students should also provide a detailed summary of their problem areas and concerns. It is important that this summary is as specific as possible in order for writing center staff to provide useful, clear suggestions. It should also be noted that this is not a proofreading service. Consultants will provide guidance and direction, but the work of editing and rewriting must be completed by the student.

Students should direct all requests to writingcenter@stjohns.edu.
