The Fulbright Alumni Association Norway held a meeting for Norwegian alumni and current American Fulbrighters in Norway at the Norwegian Space Centre on October 19th. Almost 20 people attended the meeting on this chilly fall evening, and the event started off with refreshments, pizza, and a guided tour of the Space Centre "museum". Senior Advisor Pål Brekke, astrophysist and solar researcher, then started the multimedia show "A cosmic trip across the solar system and into the Universe", captivating the audience. |

The presentation took us from Galileo Galilei and Kristian Birkeland, via today's Mars exploration and the spectacular images
from the Hubble telescope, to the ongoing debate on our climate and future space explorations. For further insights into space
and astronomy, Brekke recommended the software Stellarium (http://www.stellarium.org/) and the website Spaceweather.com (http://www.spaceweather.com/) Many thanks to Pål Brekke and the Space Centre for hosting this great event! - André Årnes
